This initiative is founded on the belief that better integration of knowledge and data supports better policy, management, and compliance decisions. As a public interest group, we work to achieve this vision through the development of high-quality science and data-rich information to transform ocean governance. This work contributes to the creation of efficient and resilient ocean markets, thus fulfilling the societal need for ocean sustainability.

Our approach…

Governing our oceans and coastal systems sustainability through a cross-sectoral approach remains one of the key environmental and development challenges of the 21^st century. Even with the emergence of social and political ambitions to intervene climate change there is still a need for greater social, cultural, scientific, and policy support.
